Idk, never had issues with dextro tablets, L Dextro is the glucose IV they give in hospitals (looks like clear liquid) to raise bloog glucose, dunno what you took though, don't know enough about this to explain stuff. Unless you're diabetic normally it shouldn't be an issue, especially not some dextro tablets, amount of insulin and glucose you get from that is nothing compared to what they give in hospitals. Idk sorry.
Dextro is the form of glucose found in nature. I wonder what you took btw, if it were regular dextro tablets or something else. It's one of the simplest ways to increase energy since it gets directly taken up and turned into blood glucose ready for energy. That's why athletes take dextro tablets and drinks, it's because it has a high glycemic index and allow for high glycemic load, which gives them a bunch of energy (same way a little kid runs around for half an hour after you give him a soda pop prolly, all the fructose gets turned into blood glucose)
If you look around in a hospital you'll often see glucose being administered (often is an understatement, prolly one of the most used IV solutions), people who had trauma, people who have crohn, people who are underweight, people who simply don't feel well, first responders tend to carry the stuff (since I've been to ER being an idiot years ago when I got crohn I know what they have, I got glucose all the time through IV, athletes get it too, often through IV too). It's nice because it's really safe (which is why I wonder what you took). Anyway I'll stop ranting now.
