hi- im diagnosed with crohns, though its mostly very mild so ive never treated it.

is there any way to tell whether skin tags are from piles or crohns??? im trying to remove them with essential oils etc, and i REALLY want rid of them!
kind of grim conversation, but this is really ruining my life right now, so any help is appreciated.

is it possible to get rid of them without surgery- if one or all are crohn's tags, do they dissapear differently to piles tags??

i developed what i thought were piles a few years ago, but, again, as they didnt bother me much, i did nothing.
in april this year they became painful so i had them checked by my GP, who said they were piles, said they wouldnt go away, and referred me to a CR surgeon. in the interim i tried loads of home remedies to get rid of them, and the pain and itch went, but the 'shape' remained; the surgeon said they were now skin tags, and has booked me a colonoscopy to check on the progress of crohns before removing them. i was kind of stressed out at the time and didnt take in much she said, nor was i able to ask much.

one is like a ribbon between my anus and vagina, the others look more piles-like, except for one which is sitting up like a stalk on a kind of dome shaped one.

im wondering if all the expensive oils and herbs im using are a waste of time and i should just resign myself to surgery. they are large and sometimes painful.

my crohns is VERY mild, thankfully, atm; slight bloating after meals, though i obviously have a very limited diet.

im using oils of oregano, tea tree, cedar (thuja) and a special blend for skin tags from amoils. also a paste of castor oil and bicarb.
3 weeks in- theyve about doubled in size, and i want to cut my ass off ;/
i dont know whether this is the bad-before-it-gets-better stage or just -getting-bad. obviously since im slated for surgery, it doesnt matter much, but... its a pain.
any advice welcomed!

Over the years I have learned to trust what the doctors are saying, always ask questions but trust them if they say you need surgery. The itching you are experiencing is either from the products you are putting on the piles but most likely from the Crohns as the itch is a sign of inflamation. Surgical treatment for piles is very common now adays, but I would recommend getting the colonoscopy your doctor recommends as well. Preperation H works the best for me in relieving the itch, it slowly reduces the swelling as well. Are you on any medication for Crohns? If not and you do in fact have a light case of Crohns suppository mesalamine would probabaly help the piles and some type of proton pump inhibitor might help your bloating after meals.
