Sorry for all the questions. I started the prep at 6pm. I gave my daughter the 2 dulcolax pills. She began going to the restroom at 9pm. It is now 3:30am and she is still going. Is this normal?

We haven't started the Miralax and she is still going. She is having a lot of cramping as well.

Yes, usually docs say to start the prep early - like 12 pm. Many parents start earlier so their kiddos aren't up all night (doesn't always work though!).

Thank yous. We ate currently still doing the prep. I couldn't start the miralax until 2pm. She was cramping all night and going to the restroom. The Miralax mix is going well, 1 and a half more cups to go. Then two more tabs.

Are scopes tomorrow?

My daughter also had bad cramping from Dulcolax . We used hot packs but nothing helped much except waiting it out.

Yes, the scopes are tomorrow.

Thank you. I am hoping everything goes well also. This process has me second guessing everything. I just want to make sure I am doing all the right things to help her. Thanks again for responding and your encouraging words. I would be lost without having this site to come to.

But inpatient prep is worse than at home
Thankfully the scope is the easy part for the kiddo

Hard on the parent
Longest 1.5 hours of my life

Thank you. Would you mind telling me if it okay to continue with clear liquidssuch as water and gatorade until midnight. As of now her bowel movement's are light yellow and clear.

Usually clear liquids are ok till midnight. What time is her scope? Usually they will tell you how many hours before to stop clear liquids.

Light and clear is how her BMs should be. Hope she has a peaceful night.
