Does anyone have any suggestions about a natural anti-inflammatory herb/spice/whatever? For example, my oncologist (who seems to know more about Crohn's than my gastro...lol) reccomended Tumeric/curcumin. I am NOT looking for diet suggestions, just some sort of supplement that I could add to my diet. Thanks!

Turmeric is a good one and so is Ginger. I had to take 2000Mg a day of each to keep symptoms down. Fish or Krill oil is also good. Cherries are also in the group of anti-inflammatory foods. I eat some dried Cherries when fresh ones are out of season because I like them and I do not tolerate or like most fruit all that well. Green Tea helped me out when replacing Coffee.

Your Oncologist is probably familiar with Turmeric because of its anti-Cancer properties. It also prevents damage to DNA from radiation. Turmeric is probably one of the most beneficial herbs out there whether you have Crohn's or not. Coconut oil is also helpful for many people with Crohn's or so they report. I have used it but never had any noticeable benefit. We use it for cooking and I eat some right out of the jar sometimes. It has the type of fat that is easier to absorb.

There are other herbs and foods that fall into the category, but I can't seem to think of them right now.
