I have not been on the board in awhile. I have had intestinal issues for about three years now. I have had many tests with no answers. I get lots of pain and crampiness in my gut. I also have a disease called Interstitial Cystitis which is kind of like Crohns except you get the inflammation and ulcers in the bladder. It is utterly painful. I also am very prone to getting UTI's and I currently have one now. I am very sensitive to many antibiotics out there and get nasty adverse reactions to most of them. My doctor gave me Keflex to take but that was not helping so she gave me a shot of ceftriaxone yesterday (250mg) She wants me to take now 3 days of suprax which is a third generation cephalosporin antibiotic. I am worried because antibiotics usually mess up my intestines! I am worried about getting C-diff from it. Has anyone on here ever taken this antibiotic and how did it effect your intestines?
