Okay, my son has developed antibodies to Remicade after only 4 infusions. When (not IF) we have to change medications, is it probable that he would develop antibodies just as quickly to any other biologic?

I don't believe that is the case necessarily.

The protein used in Remicade is different thant he ones used in Humira and Cimzia. One of them may work better for your son.

I agree with Manzyb. Although I get cant get C's GI on board with testing for antibodies yet(mainly because it seems to be working so well) he did say if that occurred we'd move on to one of the others because they are formulated with different proteins, not exact words from him but the gist of what he was saying. He said he has several kids that have moved on to humira and they have done fine with it, the longest right now had moved to humira and been on it for 3 years I think he said. Hope that helps, did your son get antibodies test regularly or was it done due to ineffectivenessof the med on his symptoms?
