Hi, I'm Giovanni, chemistry college student. I have 4 months of having moderate to intense rectal pain. The first time this happened to me was in novemenber 20, 2012. I woke up in the morning and right after going to the bathroom I experienced the most intense pain I have ever felt in all my life, an immense burning sensation in all my rectum that irradiated towards my lower back and the frontal lower abdominal region. That day, my pain lasted for 6 hours and it was really intense.
I haven't had a colonoscopy, I am in a public hospital government program so my colonoscopy is programmed for June. Meanwhile, I am awaiting for a diagnosis, but thing is, my pain sometimes is REALLY intense, it hurts so much that I have to stay in home, laying over my bed in semi fetal position.
I have tried anticolinergics (trimebutine, butilescopolamide, pinaverium bromide, pargeverine) but they don't work; I have tried non steroid analgesics (acetaminophen, sublingual ketorolac, lysin clonixinate, metamizol) and they don't work too.
I have a very strict diet and it also doesn't work: I don't eat dairy products, I don't eat fats, I don't eat gluten and I don't eat fruits/vegetables high in fructane. In other words, basically all I eat are boiled vegetables (carriot, potato), bananas, rice and boiled chicken. Diet is not working. Diet is not reducing my pain.
I beg you, please tell me a medication I can use to control pain. In my house I have tramadol, but I haven't tried it because I am not sure if it will help (at least, I have found that it is not indicated in treating tenesmus). I have read that in cases of extremely painful tenesmus the best medication is metadone, but as you may imagine I can't simply buy that in a drugstore.
Anything I can take? Please help me, this is really painful.
Please forgive my bad english; it's not my first language.
