Any success with CBD oils?

I'm well aware of the benefits of MJ in treating crohns.
But recently I saw an article about the NHS in the UK discussing the use of CBD oils (no THC). I was surprised to learn there are CBD vapes available to buy online.

Has anyone had any experience with CBD oil (no THC)?

If so I'd love to hear from you.

My wife and I got ahold of some Charlottes Web CBD oil for the Stanley Brothers in Colorado. I made a thread about it but sadly, we didn't see much results from it other than her getting a better nights sleep. We recently got ahold of some Haleighs Hope CBD oil which has some THC, but a very very minimal amount. Low enough to have it classified as a Hemp oil. So its 50 state legal to ship. I'll be posting about it here in a second and starting a new thread about the journey.

However, it was determined that she wasn't taken the proper amount, which is probably why she didn't see much results.

Don't let that discourage you. I believe every avenue possible should be attempted to reach remission with this condition.

Thanks for the reply, I hope you find something that works.

Since I posted the message I have been vaping a medipen – a CBD product avaialbe in the UK. I haven't noticed anything in the 2 weeks of use but as you say you have to give things a chance.

I've had CD for over two years and have been on Percocet for those two years. I have tried everything from exercising, heating pads and just living with the joint pain that is constant.
The Percocet works, but I'd like to be off of it. About a month ago, I was gifted a 10 day supply of pure Hemp Oil to try. I did 500mg once a day and I felt so good I practically forgot I was sick! No pain, elevated my mood (I even forgot to take my antidepressant for 3 days!), bowel spasms stopped and I stopped limping from my bad leg.
All I know now is that Oil is the only thing that has truly worked for me.

I use Charlotte's Web and notice some positive effects. What I really want to try is some full-spectrum CBD (hemp) oil as mentioned before. I've heard that the addition of the extra cannabinoids really makes the extra difference..it's just expensive.

I wanted to post a link but I haven't made ten posts yet and it isn't allowing me

CBD oils/tinctures and Edibles seem to best for Crohns.
I've been trying MM since Feb 2017 and found that the CBD oil and edibles have worked the best for Crohns. Vaping doesn't really work for me. Strains I've vaped: Harliquin, CBD Shark, LA Confidential. These strains vaped do not control diarrhea for me.

I've had this disease for over 50 years with horrible diarrhea everyday. The first time I tried CBD oil/tincture I was totally amazed at how well I felt, and the diarrhea was "normal". Unfortunately, he expense of CBD oil is far greater than I can afford.

I just purchased some organic hemp oil in Canada which is legal for all ages as the THC is 1.5% and I believe the CBD is 68%. Second day and not noticing any unusual side effects. Initially I was feeling a bit sleepy but then I had difficulty sleeping through the night. Although this might have been because I had a strong craving for water after my first dose and drank 4 glasses before bedtime. lol

My initial goal was to reduce inflammation and help with the ulcers but I have already noticed that the burning/tingling in my feet, I have lived with almost daily over the last few years is absent. Im holding my breath until I have more concrete evidence. I feel a lot better about trying this than one of the medications the health care system throws at you with all the potentially crazy side effects.

Shortly after my original post I brought a Medipen. After a month of use I noticed no difference in my health. I wonder if CBD edible oils may be worth a try.

A while back I ordered a very high CBD oil from Colorado, which I took sublingually. It didn't do much for me. I am now on a one to one (THC to CBD) vape pen after trying the same proportion in a tincture. There have definitely been results, about which I intend to start a thread.

I have noticed a difference in my system since taking CBD oil. I have been on it for about two years and my bowel movement is "firm" about 95% of the time.

I too have had good results with CBD oil. Just trying to find the right product/distributor, and whether it is Pure CBD oil or part CBD : THC.

What have you been using? Are you making it? Is this pure or mixed with THC?

Thanks for your post.

Yes. I'm finding CBD oil (purest form) seems to be helping diarrhea............but I haven't yet found which works best. A vape pen doesn't seem to help my diarrhea, the oil is the only thing. This is all very new, after being frustrated with many other treatments.

Sorry for the delay. I use Cibdex 2 oz 500 mg Vanilla Tincture. Initially I followed the directions on the bottle but cut back on the dosage to reach a happy median. Also I drink water after each application to reduce soreness in my mouth.

The vape pen didn't work nearly as well as the tincture, so I'm back to that and vaping a few times a day. Since the names of the products mean nothing, it is important to know the contents, as that is the only way the products can be compared. My primary tincture is THC and CBD in even quantities, or 'one to one', as I like to call it. As I said before, I found no detectable help using pure CBD.

I take 16mg of CBD oil in a tincture twice a day: morning and evening. It absolutely helps with suppressing urgency and with the consistency of your movements. My go to oil is Mary’s Medicinals “The Remedy” which is about 15:1 CBD to THC. I do not notice any psychoactive affects of the THC. It is pricey and, because it is derived from the cannibus plant and not a hemp plant, it is not available in states that do not allow medical and/or recreational mj use. For the skeptics, I first tried CBD two years ago for a period of a month and noticed no improvement but I was only taking 6mg twice a day. After I read more about dosages, I tried my present intake of 16mg x 2 day and immediately realized benefits. I’m 5’9 and 190lbs for anyone trying to determine what may be an appropriate dose to use.

Yes. I’ve tried Hemplucid, a whole hemp plant derived CBD oil, and it has provided similar relief to what I experienced with Mary’s.
