I have tried it and no, it didnt do anything for me... but it is psychological because touch from a human being releases endorphins which can help relax you. There is no scientific proof but if it works. I would try it, you have nothing to lose. Good luck!
i have been to about 5 sessions now and i could say that i ave seen some improvments in some of my symptoms. I am a bit sceptical still but considering it is a fairly inexpensive treatment im willing to keep giving it a go.
was looking for some one who has brought up acupuncture and came across this. My friend who had very bad UC that the doctors could not stop bleeding heavily was refereed to a Chinese doctor specializing in acupuncture. within 6 weeks of treatment every other day his symptoms had dramatically improved and with the help of some meds he is practically back to normal. He swares it saved his life!
I have an acupuncturist who has been very helpful in treating my UC symptoms. I go about once a week. I am going to try a new therapy - a hypnotist who does "body parts" therapy later this week. He has worked to help cancer patients achieve remission. I am hoping that he can help me get/keep my UC in remission. I know that it sounds a little strange, but I'm willing to try anything natural to help myself heal.
