How many of us on here are from Ohio? If we live close enough to one & other, maybe we could grab a bite to eat & a trip to the bathroom together. :)

Dayton is only about 85 miles from me. Let me know if you're ever out this way :)

WV here, I got family in Springfield OH though

The Mothman story is actually a pretty good one. The town now has a museum & everything. LOL I can share some pics with you if you'd like. Have you heard any of the stories about the link between the Mothman & the TNT mines in Va? I would be more than happy than to fill you in!

I've always wanted to go on a North American Road Trip to see "famous" sights. A Mothman stop is high on my list, right after famous wild-west gravesites

I'm from Missouri, Colt, and proud of it! Live near Springfield.

At least you're in one of the tolerable parts. Where near Springfield?

I've spent time in pretty much every corner of this state. I live in Columbia, I moved here from Joplin last year where I spent my teenage years, I spent most of my childhood in Trenton, and my mother lives in Springfield.

is South Australia to far away?

we have kangaroos and koala's if that a good selling point:D

Yes, you've been all over the state. I was actually raised in St. Louis (don't miss too much about that other than my family), went to college in Springfield, and now live in Willard. Really like it here!

Im in ohio! =)
Gallipolis... which is also directly across the river from Point Pleasant. The bridge that the 'mothman' supposedly knocked down connects gallipolis and point.

Acutally to be more technical, I live in Rio Grande. its a little area about 15 min. north of the river... a little farther out in cow country. Im 2 hours south of OSU medical center... I go there all the time for doc appts.

katiesue, where in indiana? my gf's family is from carmel

That's a good area... they rich? Most people from Carmel are. I'm from Brownsburg... about 30 minutes from Carmel. Carmel is the northside of Indy and Brownsburg is the westside. I currently am attending Purdue though and live in West Lafayette.

Sounds like a good selling point to me. Wait a minute, what season are you in right now? I believe we are opposite from one & other. We are in Spring heading into Summer, which means you're in Fall heading into Winter. What's the coldest that it gets there?

I believe we were in Gallipolis when we took the new purple bridge across from WV to Ohio. Does that sound about right? :ylol2: I felt like we took a bridge to get everywhere!

Do you have a myspace so I can show you the pics?

That would be cool. I read The Mothman Prophecies years ago... and, of course, there's that X-Files episode. But I'm always interested in that kind of Lore.

Well send me your e-mail addy in a PM & I will gladly send you pictures :)

I used to have Myspace... I tried to find it again, but it must have been purged. Hrmm.

Sometimes I drive through Columbus but rarely stop there for very long. But if I do, sounds great. I have a phyto-protein veggie shake mix that you might like to try. I drove through the northern part yesterday across the 80/90 turnpike.

yup, slowly moving into winter here, or should be... su7mmer is holding on to dear life!

we get down to 5c here at night in winter, its cold for us after 45c summers. we never get snow tho, so its not that cold compared to what americans and brits and the rest get.

@katiesue- my cousin goes to perdue! and that part of my family lives in carmel. a few of my other family members from IL went to perdue too, it was kind of a family thing or something lol

@jillian- another cousin(sister of perdue attendee above) goes to OSU!

@fen- lol we two eastcoasters both have contacts in carmel

this is funny stuff. we all have little connections
