I really don't think this has anything to do with crohns but for as long as I can remember, I've had constant neck discomfort. Like it's not pain, it's just uncomfortable. I need to stretch my neck about every 10min or so. Sometimes I accidentally crack it and it like feels better then normal. It's mostly the back right of my neck and it feels better when I push my head forward and to the left. I haven't ever had it checked out or anything. Anyone have any advice on this?

Hi Ethan
I can't say I have any neck problems( except with sticking it out too far sometimes!)
Could it be that you have some kind of arthritis going on?
Why don't you see what the doc has to say about it.

I know some people are against it, but I would consider a good chiropractor. I lived with horrible neck and upper back pain since high school partially due to scoliosis and partially due to car accidents. The pain led to tense muscles and migraines. Anyway, I finally gave in and tried a chiropractor a couple years ago...it was the best decision I ever made as far as that type of pain. However, I must stress...good and well respected because some are horrible!

First off, I'm new to all this crohns stuff, however, when I'm stressed for a while (a couple weeks) I have pain in my neck. I see it as a stress headache but located in my neck. After I figured that out, I was able to deal with it by de-stressing, just knowing what it was helped, and/or pain meds.

Was it just a one-time chiropractor visit?

No, I would say you can get some benefit from 2-3 visits, but most are going to require x-rays before they will adjust you. I had to go a couple times a week to start with, but now I go every month or so. I think it really depends on the cause of your neck distress, but it has been wonderful for me (and without the addition of more meds).

Best wishes on finding some relief!
