Tynemouth,
I have been prescribed Tramadol 50mg 1 twice a day for Arthritis. The Doc wants me to go for a blood test in 2wks to check liver function and said I may feel light headed.I read the instructions and also had a look on-line,at possible side affects, and quite honestly,I'm worried.I just wondered if anyone had something good to say about them.I know everyone doesn't get side effects, but I think I would rather have the pain than the uncertainty.

Hello
When I had my surgery last year (at Rake Lane) they gave me tramadol once the pump pain machine was taken away. All I can remember is some nausea but I was also on loads of meds, so I cannot say for certain whether it was the tramadol. I know people that take it and it really helps with their pain.
Good luck and I hope I helps. 😎

I was prescribed it in hospital and found it very good. it eased pancreas pain and helped me sleep. now I was exhausted so im not sure if it was the tramadol but I did feel a bit out of it.

I had them too after surgery, Scotsma, as I didn't want to take Ibuprofen. Very good painkiller, but they did make me sleepy and with a sort of euphoric feeling. I remember thinking that I could see how people could get hooked on them.

I take TramadolSR 50mg along with SR paracetamol 665mg x2 every night at bed-time.
Generally keeps my sacroiliac and costochondral joints quiet overnight.
So yes, definitely good analgesia, don't notice any significant S/E's

Thanks everyone.Yesterday was the first day.Took one at lunch time and one at bedtime.I did feel a wee bit light headed in the afternoon, and I had a bad dream last night. My pain is easier today though,so I will persevere over the weekend. Thanks again.
