So i have officially been diagonsed with crohns disease. And i had a colonosxopy. Is it normal to be spre on the bottom of your stomach. I had a polyp removed too. I feel really irritable because im sore.

I'm not sure what Mary is getting at, unless its that CD can occur literally anywhere along the digestive tract.

As for your soreness question, I've never experienced that in three scopes. To be honest, in every case the prep was the worst part.

On one scope I did have some severe abdominal pain afterward and they ended up doing a CT scan to verify it was just trapped gas (it was) but that's pretty much the extent of my discomfort.

Not much help I know, sorry. If its sever pain or lingers for a while I'd certainly call my GI.

I had my last colonoscopy in the beginning of January and afterwards I was in so much pain. It eventually went away, but I've always been sore after them. This was 8th total scope so I'm guessing it's my normal.

Thanks everyone for the replies. This was my first and i dread the ones in the future. That liquid was just horrible. Lol. And the soreness too. I have another issue. I still feel groggy from the sedatation. I guess it is because i barely even take a tylonel without it knocking me out. I barely take any meds because of the tiredness it causes. Has anyone ever felt groggy aeven 2 days after colonoscopy

Out of the three I've had, one made me feel sore but the other two didn't. I agree with Ribo, that the prep was worse for me than the soreness.

What prep did you use, miss-being-me? There are a few different ones, so if this one was particularly difficult for you to get down, you could request to try another. I always opt for the Miralax prep, as it's tasteless. It's just a large quantity.

Two days is a very long time to feel that way. The anesthesia should be out of your system within 24 hours (that's why they suggest someone stay with you for 24 hours afterwards). Tylenol makes you drowsy, as well? I've never heard of it having that effect. I suggest you talk to a doctor about all of this. Definitely bring it up anytime something is prescribed to you, at least.
