anyone here experience a "hardened" area in belly

Has anyone here ever experience a hardening in their belly? Mine general goes from just left of my belly button - straight across to my lower right side. It is hard and big enough that I notice it, especially when lying on my stomach. It doesn't move when I push on it and it is not generally painful.

Does anyone know what it is?

It could be a gas pocket, but if it doesn't move anywhere, and doesn't really cause discomfort, it might not be that. IT *could* be distension (sp)...but you would have to get it confirmed by a doc. I would say your best bet is to call your doc and just ask him! Maybe he can get you in and take a poke around and see what he thinks.
