Hi guys and girls, just wondering if there are any Aussies using LDN as a treatment, and if so, how are you finding it. My GI says its not approved here yet, and my GP won't prescribe it off label.

It's easy. I have done it before. Lot's of people do it. If you look online, some think that the "make it your own" version is more effective because it is liquid and absorbs better....others think the opposite. But it is completely safe...no dangers at all. There is an interview with Dr. Bihari somewhere, and he says that LDN should be considered more a vitamin than a drug....meaning that it is that safe...no side effects, very few interactions with other drugs, etc. Any hoot, hope Crystal has a name for you.

Joshuaaa, I contacted Helen at Dr Myhill's office in England. She did not know if EPD (called LDA Immunotherapy in the USA) was available in in Australia, but she gave me a list of doctors in the UK that use EPD. She said to contact them, and at least one of them would know another doctor in Australia. Doctors that use EPD/LDA will most likely also use LDN (low dose naltrexone)....anyway here is the list of EPD doctors in the UK. It is broken up into three links:

Hi Joshuaaa,
I,m near Adelaide and have just been prescribed it. You could try googling compounding pharmacies in your area and ask them which docs are prescribing it.. As these pharmacies usually have to make it up or you..
Cheers

I ordered it for my wife from alldaychemist and she'd tried it for a few months with limited success.

Just put 1 50mg tablet in 50mg of distilled water. It's 1mg per ml then.

Well, it has been amazing for me. My doctor uses LDA Immunotherapy (EPD) and LDN (low dose naltrexone) together. He thinks they are actually synergistic. I know some other in Australia were interested to know about LDA Immunotherapy, but as of yet we can't determine if it is available or not. If you happen to stumble upon a doctor using it, please post it.

Very interesting to know. I know that GI's are quite reluctant to prescribe LDN here. My wife's Dr. said he was happy for her to try it, but he wouldn't prescribe it to her. So we resorted to the internet.

She's currently on the GSK1605786A clinical trial (which has been going pretty well). After failing with the majority of traditional drug treatments.

SJF, My naturopath prescribed it for me, you could try and find one that specialises in gastric conditions like mine.. After not being able to tolerate all the other meds he suggested LDN, My specialist was reluctant to prescribe it to.

Get in touch with this compounding pharmacist in NSW. Search google for Ballina Compounding pharmacy. They have a good web site.
They will let you know drs who prescribe. They post all over Aust. Mixing yourself will make dosing unreliable.
