Anyone on Colazal?

Hello group,

My doc just put me on Colazal for Crohn's. Three capsules three times a day. Has anyone had success with this?

Colazal is kind of a new way of delivering an old and well established medication. When it hits the colon, it gets split up into two smaller molecules. One of these is the therapeutically active one and is good old mesalamine which lots of people (including me) here take in one form or another. It is only split in the colon so it is more targeted than other, current formulations. It is approved for Ulcerative Colitis but I suspect that off-label use for Crohn's Colitis will be increasingly common.
