Anyone Tried The Plan?

I am wondering about trying The Plan to see if I can find out which foods are really the worst for my stomach. The Plan is supposed to test which specific foods are reactive to my system. I'd like to find this out to avoid the horrible bloating I feel on certain days. I've read the book and I like a lot of her ideas.

This plan starts with a cleanse for 3 days and it has pretty high fibre foods which I haven't been eating much of. I've emailed the author (Lyn Genet Recitas) to see if they've ever worked with someone with Crohn's but have not had an answer yet.

Has anyone tried this diet? Id like to hear anyone's experiences.

Welcome to the forum :)

Ive never heard of it before. Ive just had a quick look at her website and it seems reasonable, although doesnt give any details on what plan you are supposed to follow. Have you any more info on it?

Hi Rygon

The diet has lots of fibre which is why i'm a bit worried to try it. I've done SCD before but this promises to be tailored to my gut exactly as I test each food. They say they have worked successfully with people who have crohn's but who knows?

Each day builds on the one before. Day 1 with flax granola and dried fruit, non dairy milk, then salad etc, apple for snack. Then each day a new food is added. If you sign up with them - consults from $150 or so, then I assume they will help you tailor to yourself.

I'm thinking about trying it... but not before my holidays in case it makes me too sick to work.

That sounds like a world of hurt for many people with Crohn's disease, especially if they're in an active flare. But as usual, everyone is different. If you do try it, please keep us updated as to how you make out.
