anzathioprine

i am 14 and was dignosed with crohns only 4/5 months ago.
i find myself so so so tired and fatigued and yet i am sleeping huge amounts.
my hair is falling out so now i have to wear scarves and not to mention i cant function at school.
i am on prednisilone and anzathioprine and yet i feel no different.
i ache and cramp and the littlest things wear me out.
does anyone have any ideas that may help whether it is diet/therapuetic whatever i dont care i just want to try and get this under control so i can live my life like any other normal 14 year old girl.

Could the reason for your tiredness be that you're getting too much sleep? I've sometimes found that on the rare occasions I've managed to sleep for a long time, if I go for more than 9 hours, it can be very difficult to shake off the lethargy all day.

I've never had Pred, but when I first started on Azathioprine I was very tired for a couple of weeks, but that eventually wore off and even though I still feel tired a lot now, at least it's manageable!

Hi Clads,
The way you're describing how you feel sounded exactly how I was like when I was on azathiopine, it turned out I was allergic to it, do you have a rash anywhere at all?

In terms of diet, there are diets which claim to help Crohn's, the only ones I know of are The Maker's Diet and the SCD. People on here will give you info on them, or you could look them up on Google. Most people seem to find out what foods trouble them through experience then exclude them from their diet's.

Hang on in there most people will find a combination of meds/lifestyle that can make their life managable.
