Appointment today-anxious

I am seeing a new GI this afternoon for a second opinion. I'm not very fond of my current GI, so I am really hoping this works out well. I'm feeling really anxious. I think this morning is going to crawl by.

1:30 eastern time. I'm trying to stay busy. I'm at work, but it is super slow today!

How did it go?

It went so well. My new doctor is wonderful. I feel like he actually cares about me! There were a couple of times when I told him what my previous doctor had done, he said, "Well, that's strange." Lol. My previous doctor was going to start me on methotrexate injections, but the new doctor wants to try me on a mesalamine again. I am on prednisone right now, because I am flaring. The doc wants me to call his office and talk to the nurse once a week, and let them know how I am doing. Then, once the prednisone calms things down, we will try the mesalamine again. He asked my opinion, listened to me, made sure I understood, and he asked if I had questions! My old doctor never, ever asked if I had questions, or wanted my opinion about anything! There is just so much of a difference between the old doctor and this one. I feel so much more comfortable, and at peace.
