Has anyone dealt with this or ever heard of it happening?
I need to go to an OB/GYN but I have had some issues for a while that I am staring to think are related to my ovaries and or hormones.
I get really bad hot flashes, at 26 years old. It gets to the point that it looks like I have stepped out of the shower. I can go outside in the 30's, and sweat. I have also started gaining weight uncontrollably. I am on prednisone, so that could have something to do with it, but I have been gaining weight for a lot longer than I have been on pred.
Anyways, I was doing some research, and there is a link between premature menopause and auto immune diseases. However, it has not been reported in anyone near my age. Just wondering if someone can relate or give insight.

Hi! I went through premature menopause last year but due to having a stem cell transplant. There is a really simple blood test they can do to check your hormone levels so I'd advise twisting your doctors arm to get you one and then get a referal to a consultant. I found I used to get these terrible moods as well, like someone was tipping a cup of darkness into my brain.
