Hi all, been reading this site and thought I would share my story and my worries as I am in Limbo at the moment.

I went to the doctor on an unrelated matter and on the off chance mentioned I had seen a tiny amount of blood after being to the loo, but as it hurt when I went thought it was a pile. Then mentioned having the odd stomach cramp but nothing that troubled me in my daily life. To my surprise the doctor ordered a blood test just to rule things out. This then results of this came back as anemia and inflammation much to my surprise again.

Anyway I was then sent to the hospital doctor had a look and said looked like diverticulitis and a small pile but would get me to have a flexible sigmoidoscopy. Had this procedure (never again!) and was found I had ulcers and mucous and told it looks like Crohns and he took biopsies and blood tests and asked for a stool sample!! Talk about yet another surprise!! I was then sent away with a follow up appointment in 2 weeks.

So I am now waiting nervously to see what the bloods, stool sample and biopsies say. I was given no other information just wait two weeks! I am in a bit of a panic thinking what if it is something worse, what if I need an operation cause of the ulcers, all sorts of crazy things going on!!

The other thing is I hardly have any symptoms the most I have is two bouts of diarrhea one usually as soon as I get up and the other after breakfast and thats it, oh and maybe minor weight loss! So I am sat thinking is there more symptoms to pop up! The slight stomach ache I had seems to have gone too, that is since taking a B12 supplement and something called boswella supplement.

Anyway sorry for the ramble but just feel confused and in limbo and baffled at my lack of symptoms and the not knowing is sending me mad! Thanks for reading and any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi and welcome. The waiting is awful.
I don't have any advice. Hopefully you'll have answers soon.

Hi, Thank you for the welcome. Yep waiting is a nightmare, just the not knowing and imagining all sorts of things it could be. I need to stop looking at google too because that has me in a right panic!!

Fingers crossed for answers soon before I go mad!
