I typically get routine bloodwork done yearly. Maybe you should ask? I get my cholesterol & iron checked. My daughter has high cholesterol (age 9 - and a bone rack) so it's a must for me!
Oh and when I did get my results she said my blood was "strained". I had no idea what she was talking about but apparently it's something to do with my red blood cell count!
2 ft of TI and 6 inches of colon (right where it meets the TI) out. I was B12 deficient before I even knew I had Crohn's. I take my B12 in a pill form (dissolves and is absorbed in the mouth). It keeps my levels up and I avoid the use of another injection.
Anemic and iron levels super low(I had a blood transfusion) but was still ok with B12...my sister on the other hand take b12 pills weekly since her levels were way low(and she doesn't have crohns)
I experienced pins and needles pain in my hands and back when my B12 Is to low. I tale it in pill form 2000 mg at a time. At least every two days. That keeps it in line. Doctor recommended this over shots. I agree.
