[Dr M is my non regular Dr but she was the one who suspected there is something wrong with my kidneys. She can't feel any lumps or bumps in my stomach, therefore my stomach is fine. Everytime I see her, she always prescribes me lots of medications, that to be honest, I don't really need.

Dr H is my favourite Dr. She's my regular Dr but recently she has been ill herself so i've been seeing Dr M. Dr H is sensitive towards me and knows about my past and my fears. She's lovely and sorts things out for me. Although, she didn't suspect anything wrong with my kidneys.]

Dr M sent for me to have my kidney scan but the hospital never made an appointment for me last week. I went back to see Dr M this morning as she wanted me to. We told us that the hospital haven't contacted us. She said they are still finding blood in my urine. She gave me more medication for bowel spasms. Then she said she thinks I have... Irritable Bowel Syndrome. She can't feel anything in my body that is wrong, so it is IBS.

ARGHIEGH At this point, I was angry. My blood tests are showing inflammation in my body. I am always nauseas and in pain when I eat. I've tried every flipping diet out there to help with intolerances! I've kept food diarys for months on end that only show my Allium Family allergies!! ARGHHH!!!

I was fuming. I don't have IBS. Now that Dr H is back, we're seeing her from now on because although she thought I had CFS, atleast she didn't dare say IBS when it obviously isn't. I don't have CFS, but atleast she proved that I didn't have it... well technically I proved it by giving the nurse my blood...

On a happier note, it's been snowing over here. It's not settled though and i'm soooo cold. I feel worse when i'm cold. I'm wear double and triple layers of everything! Brrr!

Oh! The hospital just called! I have an ultrasound scan on my kidneys in two days. The appt. is at 4:30pm and I have to stop eating at 11:30am. I also have to drink 2 pints of water an hour before the appt. and not go to the toilet. Any advice?! There is no way I can hold on!

And I am seeing a specialist next week. Finally! Hope everyone is coping ok! x

Wow I'm sorry things are so complicated for you.

Doctors are like everything else some are better than others. I guess you have no real choice you have to go through the motion if you ant to find out what you have.

Stay strong and keep us posted.

I'm sorry you've gotten the usual IBS bull you-know-what. Drs say this when they don't know what is wrong or they can't find concrete proof of IBD. Or it is often used as a lazy dx to describe many things.

But they have concrete proof! The tests prove it! She doesn't believe me when I saw that this has been happening for 4 years. I just told mum it was four years and she said she doesn't think so - she doesn't ever remember me being ill!!!!! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!

What tests prove it? If you mean the inflammation blood test then unfortunately that can be causes by things other than IBD, it says that something is wrong but not what is wrong.

As for you being ill for four years, are there any specific events or occasions you can remember being ill for? This might jog your mum's memory or convince your doctor that it really has been 4 years.

By the way, I was looking for more information about onion allergy, and I found these posts on a food allergy forum. One of the posters says she daren't risk anything that has 'spices' or 'natural spice flavourings' listed in the ingredients because that often means onions or garlic.

So it may be worthwhile you going onto a real tough exclusion diet, of foods which you have prepared yourself from fresh ingredients, nothing that could be contaminated with onion or garlic, because it could be a milder version of your allergy that is causing your ongoing problems.

Thank you for the link. We are aware of everything with allium allergies. It is completely gone from my diet. 100%. I'm just ill because my stomach hates me.

I have tried jogging her memory by reminding her of times in 2009 where I was and she just says "oh I didn't know you were ill then, I don't remember. Everytime we talk about this, you add on another year to being ill" It's January so we are in a new year too. Her head is thinking straight at the moment. She has a lot of stuff going on at the moment - which i'm trying not to think about.

It was a blood test for ESR. I'm 35/11 and it's not going down. Shame that doesn't prove anything :(

My gp said something to me that i will never forget.

"Medicine is not an exact science"

Ooooh I like that Rob. I admit that I didn't quite understand that at first, but it led to a good convo with my mum about my future hospital appointments and worries and that just opened a door! Haha!

Update - I had my scan today. All my organs are perfectly healthy. That is good news that i'm healthy, bad news that i'm in pain and they don't know why. The lovely doctor said that the scan doesn't look at my bowels or anything linked to that. She can only see my kidneys, pancreas, liver, lungs, urinary track etc. So atleast my kidneys are good! I am seeing a specialist next week for my stomach/intestines/bowel problems. So, we shall see from there. :)

with crohns in my large intestines I got pains just below my ribcage and also kidney area. No idea why I just did so that may have some thing to do with it
