I was wondering if anyone has herd or knows if beer is good or bad for you. I have herd that the more hops like beers can be good for you (not referring to bud, coors etc.) And also if it bothers you stomach at all.

even 1 r 2 beers i feel like crap...i got wheat free beer before in the off license its was very gassy and expensive 2 if i were u i'd try a little bit of vodka..

I've heard that because grains don't do well with crohnies that beers are not a good idea. They do make gluten free beer, but I've never tried it, so I can't say anything from personal experience. I have heard that the more pure the drink is and less sugar in it, the better. I've had champagne and wine with no issues.

Generally I can drink a little vodka, schnapps or Bailey's. Beer alwaysdid make me too gassy (even prediagnosis). But now I stick to the very occasional 1 or 2 drinks because of the aza.

Ive completely given up alcohol for a few months as I don't want to feel ill from a hangover as Im sick of being ill! Even when I do drink it again I shall definitely be avoiding beer. Even before I started to be ill it gave me really bad d and I sure can do without that now ;)

Beer and me are fighting. There are always old wives tales about guiness being high in iron. My old doctor (who was russian) believed Vodka could cure about anything.

oh i do love a nice ice cold bottle of corona, but then 1 bottle turns into 2 and then 3 and so on and so on, but then the next day is hell for me - constant toilet trips and stomach pain so recently i stick to vodka or a good old pint of the black stuff - GUINNESS. Lovely stuff.

dark rum and coke goes down well too, but if i have more than say 3 beers, then i pay for it the next day, but everyones different i suppose.

I generally don't have a problem when I drink beer except that I think I probably burp way more than the average beer drinker. Admittedly, I rarely drink more than two.

On the other hand, a few times a year I fall head first into an entire bottle of vodka and am perfectly fine.

There is a gluten free beer you can buy in Canada, I am not sure if its aval. in the US or else where called MESSAGERE. Its good. I don't drink often, and when I do its only 1-2 drinks of wine or a beer.

Isnt american beer just water anyway :p I used to drink ale and whisky but that kills me after an hr or so. I can tolerate a corona or two but still feel the effects. Stick to vodka and wine nowadays and it has helped loads (tequila is fine as well)

I think this is another thing that's different for everyone. I have a friend who has Crohn's and he can handle beer without any problems but liquor really gets to him. When I'm in remission, drinking never bothered me.
