Talk about a colonoscopy gone wrong. Just woke up a bit ago and now they're admitting me into the hospital because I'm in SERIOUS pain. He found extreme ulceration and inflammation in my upper colon. On the small plus side, my endoscopy looked normal and the place where I usually have the most problems recently -- strictures and inflammation around my rectum-- look a lot better.

So they're admitting me to monitor this pain, which dear god I woke up from the procedure feeling like someone was twisting a knife in my gut, and to do a ct scan. Hopefully we can hurry this up and start a new treatment too.

Any good thoughts to get out soon with a new plan you can send my way, I'll take them. So fed up with all of this.

Sorry you are in the hospital. But it's a good thing that they decided to keep you there and monitor you. I do like how, despite recent events, you are able to see a positive somewhere in the midst of all of this pain and disease and frustration. You sound like a very strong person. That type of attitude can take you far in helping you get through this on an emotional level. I hope the docs are treating you well in the hospital and that things get under control for you soon!

What is your treatment plan currently while at the hospital? What are they giving you to help fight the crohn's and the pain?

It sounds like this colonoscopy might have been a blessing in disguise rather than one that's gone wrong - at least it allowed them to identify a problem that might have got worse if it had gone undetected for longer.

I hope you soon get the treatment - and pain relief - you need. Keep strong.

Sorry to hear that you're in the hospital. :( But, thankful to hear that they seem to be taking care of you! Hopefully you'll be able to feel better and return home soon. Sending hugs your way.
