Best way to consume Marijuana for Crohn's?

I realize this is an old thread, but in case you are still curious I have found that vaping the wax concentrates have worked the best. I didn't want my daughter to smoke it, and the edibles just didn't seem to work. However, after finding a good hybrid strain of wax concentrate...we have found the option for her. A small amount about the size of a grain of rice in a wax vape pen every other day. We alternate with a high quality CBD oil taken orally.

Smoking and vaping has had the best effects for me. Edibles and tinctures are very hard to control the doses. I find microdosing to work the best with flower and vaping oil.

depends what effect/principle you are after......the body processes it differently when eaten.....or for example....if you want to ingest THCA, that wont happen by smoking ;P

with eating it, i think you just need to be familiar with the product...it is a longer lasting more time released effect, so dosing could be tricky, but if the product is consistent it should be easy enough to figure out by only a couple experiences...

I'd also like to add. Marijuana has literally tens of thousands strains. Each one different with different medicinal effects, abilities. Plus within each strain is different phenotypes. Im 45 years old. I just discovered Marijuana really helps me in past 2 years. The right strains at the right times give me my life. It's incredible! A good sativa stops fatigue from crohns. It actually not only stops fatigue. It gives you an energy boost. Now to get to growing the strains I need. It's just wrong. I've been forced to suffer and live miserable needlessly because healthy people have made these medicinal plants illegal. I can smoke my bowl of weed. It only take 5 seconds to have me feeling better than $6000 humira ever has.
I had no clue about Sativas and Marijuana. Sativas are performance enhancing. They give hyper focus, energy, motivation. All things I've found helpful with crohns. I cant walk up a flight of stairs without being tired. Take a sativa. I could dig ditches all day without a break. It's almost miracle for me.

you cant really compare cannabis with humira......they are so completely different in how they work and what they might hope to achieve....

it wont help you to feel better then get slammed with a hardcore flare your body cannot defend against, and end up in surgery......and they wont let you have any cannabis in the hospital but i do think it can certainly have many places in a wellness regimen.....which varietal can make a big difference certainly, but its wise to be cautious about how much some things are likely to do against an actual IBD diagnosis...

I wouldny compare marijuana to humira either.
I figure since my immune system is flawed. Maybe my endocannabinoid system in my body is flawed as well. Once I tried marijuana in my own home, relaxed. It changed my view on marijuana. It's been a life changing experience. The right strain and right phenotype of that strain taken at the right time, grown correctly to get the full expression of the plant. Fatigue what fatigue. My worst symptom of my crohn's is the fatigue. I can smoke and not only takes fatigue away. It gives more energy than healthy younger co-workers. ITS A MIRACLE PLANT for me. It's so rewarding, growing new strains to find more strains to help me. You keep the plants that make a real difference in your life. You can have that medicine forever. Sooner than later. I'm gonna start breeding to make a plants tailor made for all my health issues. I wish I would have knew about these fatigue fighting/depression fighting strains 20 years ago. They are so performance enhancing. Now I know its banned in sports. It's like the best caffeine ever without jitteriness.

I am using marijuana. I don't have medical insurance and I can't work. I smoke cigarettes and smoking marijuana has made my COPD worse but it is the only thing I can use.
