Biotin for hair loss from drugs

Has anyone tried Biotin for hair loss from 6mp or Purinthol. My 18 year old needs to find a remedy. She tried a Folic Acid supplement but it upset her stomach. If anyone has had success, what dosage do you take and are there any side effects?

I take Biotin and highly recommend it. My hair hasn't fallen out from the 6MP (yet) but last July my hair was falling out in huge amounts from either Prednisone, Cimzia, or just Crohn's in general. I started taking it and a month or so later (it'll take awhile) I noticed the hair loss had stopped and had new growth. My hairdresser was shocked at how much new growth I had. I buy it at GNC since they have the higher dosage which means I only need to take one pill in the morning. I also bought the Biotin shampoo and conditioner at GNC. I don't know if the shampoo helps but it certainly doesn't hurt.

Just tell her to patient because it won't help overnight but it should help. It did for me. Best of luck to her, that must be so hard at her age.

5000 and I've never felt any side effects from it.
