Black specks in poo

black specks in poo

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone else has had black specks in their poo.
I am flaring and this speck have been showing up for a couple weeks. I am guessing that it is related? I googled it and really didn't find anything like it.

I have them also, along with a lot of mucus and blood when I am flaring, I think it is pretty normal for us.

Black specks usually are dried blood. A sign of bleeding higher up the digestive tract.

Thanks gals. They are just tiny little speckles. I guess that I was hoping that somehow because they were so small (like fine black pepper) it wasn't blood. You are likely correct though. At first I thought it was something I ate but I have had them everytime I go for over two weeks.
