I am hoping to introduce a few people to a food that has found its way into my routine. If you're already using it, great! Blackstrap molasses! 10-20G of this mixed in a tea mug's worth of warm water upon waking it provides ample minerals that are easily absorbed. Iron and calcium being largely important.
If anyone would like to comment on their own experiences with it, I would be glad to read it. Perhaps even sharing your favourite way of consumption for all of us here to try.
I tried to incorporate it into my son's diet (unfortunately, without much success ) but I agree with you that it's a great food to include in your diet. I have added it to my diet (no crohns but low in iron) and have had it as you've described it. I wasn't sure how it would taste but it was better than I'd expected. I also mix a 1-2 teaspoons into oatmeal.
I would love to see some other recipes/uses as well... haven't had much luck in finding many recipes.
