Bleeding after colonoscopy?

It seems like I’m having one thing after another the past few days. I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy yesterday by the head of the Gastro department. Last night, I had a low grade fever (100.3) that responded to Tylenol. It’s normal right now. This morning I tried to force out any leftover water from the prep and out came a bunch of blood (no stool). I have a call into the specialist, but what is going on? I’m pretty freaked out.

If it's just a little blood or some blood diluted in leftover bowel prep solution, it's probably just some residual bleeding from the biopsies they took. They pretty much always take biopsies. If it's a serious amount of blood it could be a sign of a bowel perforation, in which case you need to notify the doc right away.

It’s hard to tell when it’s in the toilet and mixed in with the water. It seemed like a lot to me and was bright red, but I don’t know. There was blood on the toilet paper, but stopped after a second. I don’t have any pain, which I was told I would have with a perforation? I left a message for the doctor. His office said he would call me back and if there’s more bleeding or a fever of 102 or higher that I should go to Urgent Care. This really sucks.

As scipio said, some bleeding is normal after biopsies are taken. A single drop can look like a lot once diluted in water.....I'd keep an eye on things, if the fever comes back I'd definitely call again, as well as if any unusual abdominal pain occurs.
