Lately it seems that no matter what I eat, I have so much bloating and gas.
I have increased my calories and by the way I have put on about 5 pounds on to my 82 lb frame which is a big victory for me but I do suffer a lot of bloat and gas which is most uncomfortable. I always feel stuffed up to my neck and the narrowed bowel doesn't help. Anybody got a solution. I watch my intake of gassy vegetables, but maybe I can do more. Anyone have any ideas?

I dont know how healthy this idea is but it works for me. Baking soda and water. It tastes bad but it does cause the gas to come out. Good luck!!

Thanks, I have no problem with it coming out, infact on some days it's way too much. I have bloat and gas together.

Try some digestive enzymes. You may not be breaking down food properly, and this can cause a lot of discomfort, gas and bloating.

Avoiding wheat and dairy also helps some people.

I started digestive enzymes a couple weeks ago and its helped me quite a bit.

Thanks Lydia, more than likely I do have an absorption problem so yes, thank you I will try the enzymes.
Ekay03 for those days that the gas won't come out, I will try the baking soda method, thanks.

I find I get on better by "grazing"... having smaller meals but more often... and also by deliberately chewing food more before swallowing. I now eat meals sitting at a table (rather than off a tray while watching TV) which makes more of an occassion of it, as well as making sure I'm sitting a bit straighter.

You might want to look up food combining. I try to use the rules, and have had much less gas/bloating when I do. One main rule is not to eat fruit with anything else. If you Google food combining, you'll get lots of information.

Can you have yogurts? activia help me when im really bad (i hate bits in my yogurts so have to force them down cringing!)

or i have mebeverine or buscopan to help things move along so to speak.

gentle tummy massage if your tummys not to tender?x

It's gotta be your diet keep a food journal it really does help. I also find moving around or going for a walk to really help and get rid of gas.

All great ideas, thank you. Today I took Swiss
Solutions digestion which is an enzyme formula, still had gas but maybe not as much as I usually have around this time but that could have been coincidental..
Yes I can have yogurt and have even bought it. Don't ask me why but it sat in my fridge until it expired, Will have to buy some more and stick to it this time.

LOL, I've been grazing several times a day, problem is I've been grazing on junk food to increase my calories so I could gain weight. I did put on some but I was just looking at myself today and I'm not really quite as happy as I should be as it seems to have all gone to my middle...ugh. I will definitely have to eat healthier.
