I've been feeling pretty good but no matter what I eat, my entire stomach and lower stomach blow up. Big time. It looks like I'm pregnant and I am not over exaggerating. The only relief I get from bloating is if I drink a lot of coffee and make myself go to the bathroom. (Unusually for a crohnie, I only go #2 every four to five days) but after I eat again after, I go right back to full on bloat.

Anyone relate or have any ideas of have to relieve this? It's really messing with me.

I've gone through times of terrible bloating - I feel your pain!!!!

How are your inflammation levels?

What do you typically eat?

Diet is highly debated and individualized - for the past month I've cut out all added sugar (and eaten fruit in moderation) and all dairy except butter (I've been gluten free for a few years). I've had almost no bloating since these changes. (I'm "almost" doing a whole30 except I eat butter and sometimes rice).

I see you're in the Low Reside group... do you have strictures/narrowings/etc?

There's an interesting elimination diet called IBD-AID (search the forum and threads will pop up) - has a good clinical track record of reducing symptoms. Might be worth a try for you!

I feel your pain too! My stomach sometimes feels like an overstretched balloon about to burst and I tend to get a bit sweaty. I find I get the bloating if I eat a substantial sized meal. Unfortunately I haven't found anything yet that helps but I have my first appointment with my GI consultant next week so I'll be asking for advice then.
