Hi - I'm new here so I apologize if I'm posting anything wrong! I was diagnosed a couple of years ago with CD after my first (9month long) flare - by the time I was diagnosed I wasn't overly concerned and thought it was a nuisance disease. I've now been in a flare for a few months again, and over about 2 months I've lost about 24 pounds. I'm due for a knee replacement surgery later this month and got pre-op blood work and urinalysis done. I'm not taking this disease so light-heartedly any more. It seems I'm anemic, anemic enough that I'll need IV intervention if I want my surgery. My question is more around some of the other tests.
My creatinine is high, and my eGFR is low - I've never had kidney problems - could this be related to the CD flare - dehydration maybe?
Also in my urinalysis, I got a bilirubin flag of 1+ which I read always means liver problems but again, I've never had liver problems so I'm wondering if it is related. Similarly, I got a 1+ flag on blood in the urine.
