Hi everyone just wanted to know if you have evr had blood come up in your mouth, i had it a bit last year and its reoccured again, i feel like im going to be sick but i dont and can taste blood in my mouth and when i spit in sink theres blood there. Anyone ever had this?

Yikes - I haven't had that - but would think that warrants at least a phone call to your GI or something.

its not alot of blood its just a little bit of it but just notice it was just wondering if something could have been inflamed or burst and just caused the bleedin couldnt find any other reason to be honest.

Lately i taste blood all the time, but don't spit any up....i dunno, i think mine is because of the medication i'm on, says it can alter taste

I believe most people experience blood when they have erosion of the esophagus, or even varicose veins/ Varices of the esphogus.....You really should call your GI.

Im away visiting my gf so i will call my GI when iget back to london i just had it last year for a while and it stopped and it has come back but ive also been vomitting alot more so im not sure if that could be because ive inflammed anything.

When you vomit is there blood in it?

Only time I taste blood in my mouth is if I have a nose bleed or my gums are bleeding.

Are you on Flagyl? I remember Flagyl giving me a weird metal/iron taste in my mouth.

Porter - I'd get it checked even if it stops - it doesn't sound good. And if you are getting erosion in your esophagus - better to know it earlier rather than later so they can get you on meds to stop it from getting more advanced. Hope the vomiting stops! I don't know how some of you guys with vomiting stand it -it is one of my most hated things ever!! Feel better.....

Porter, I would get it checked out. Coughing up or spitting up blood is never normal. It could be anything from esophagus erosion to tuberculosis, nothing to ignore. I hope you get some answers soon and get better.

Sorry, my last post sounded pretty dismal--I'm not saying it is necessarily that serious. It can also be something as benign as a sinus infection if you feel post-nasal drip, etc. and this can also make a person nauseous.

No matter what, I would get it checked out and I hope the best for you.
