Okay so here's my little update story!
Basically Im a couple months post-op from my second ileocolic resection, and so before I was even admitted and realized I was having problems again I was constantly having diarrhea. I hadn't had a solid bowel movement for months.
So fast forward to after my surgery, I started going to the bathroom again before I could leave but it was still mostly liquid and they basically just told me eventually it'll get somewhat more solid(surgeon did say it probably won't be what it used to again just because of the affect the surgery has on the digestive system). So now I'm about 3 months post-op and I'm still having diarrhea. I'm going 4-8 times a day and yes most of this is at work as well :/ It doesn't matter which diet I try( Iv'e tried plant based, non dairy, liquids only, low fiber, brat diet) Its always liquid. And now the icing on the cake, Its getting bloody. To be honest, for me, this was super scary the first time I wiped and I saw red because up until recently I have never had bloody stool as a symptom.
It started out just me going so often and since its always liquid, I would just get so sore that when I wiped, the outside of my bottom would bleed from irritation. And now I've been having times where I go to the bathroom and it feels like diarrhea still but when I look at what I've wiped and in the toilet, its just completely bloody diarrhea. So now as I understand it, its an internal bleeding now, which is even more alarming.. Now I plan to call my GI's nurse tomorrow morning, however If anyone else could share their experience with this particular symptom I'd be truly grateful <3 Seriously let me know how it was/is for you, what the treatment was, if it still happens, permanent/temporary etc..
