The mayor of Boston has passed away from cancer and has suffered with crohns and other health conditions for years.

My beef with the media is that crohns isn't recognized, it's all about the cancer and I know that's what is fatal but crohns is likely what kicked it in. The article just lists crohns among his other "maladies" and makes IBD once again sound like a nuisance rather than a serious disease.

It seems like they added it as an ailment along with an infected elbow. That makes it sound so small. Such a shame because it could bring a lot of light to CD.

It's so offensive when IBD is lumped in with minor or more common things like food sensitivities, irregularity, etc and in this case elbow. I'll trade my crohns for an infected elbow lol

Ok, when the article refers to Crohn's as a "malady" that really irks me. IBD is life threatening in some cases, and is very serious. Not a little malady.
