Hi - I got a copy of this book which is the SCD diet plan a few days ago.

There is no way on this earth I can follow that:lol:

Anyone who is after the book if you pm me i will post it to you.

I'm still waiting for my library to get that book to me. I did manage to find an SCD recipe book, which kind of had an overview of what it is. I decided to do a modified version of it. No dairy (not even yogurt), no grains, no nuts, no excessive added sugar, no chocolate, no potatoes... But I'm allowing all beans, soy, canned vegetables, seaweed, and limited artificial sweeteners.

It's haaaaaard. Good thing I actually LIKE salad.

It wasn't sounding too bad until I got to the "make your own yoghurt" bit - I have three kids aged 6,5 and 1 - like I have time to make my own yoghurt :ybatty:

Also a lot of the "allowed" foods are not actually allowed for me - on a low residue diet you can't eat nuts and seeds which feature heavily.

a lot of the controversey regarding the SCD is due to that fact, that it promotes the ingestion of very "no-no high fiber" foods. Those same people apparently swear by it still, but docs will attest to it's anecdotal basis.

I have to have fiber personally. If I don't, I will back up and then the pain is so bad...
