Hello. Looking for help and advice please.
For last few months I've been having really bad urgency to pee. At first I put it down to increased fluid intake and the theory that 'what goes in must come out'. (I'm female!)
However over the past month it's got a lot worse. Genital area is now swollen really badly, it's red and inflamed and burns like heck when I pee, or poop around that area.
I've had a few courses of antibiotics for other health issues and thought maybe it was thrush or a UTI. However I took thrush treatment and it hasn't helped and had my urine tested for infection and it's clear.
I used to get terrible cystitis years ago, but this feels different. There's no retention or spasms like I used to get. It just burns, super urgent bladder and pain when I sit down, like it's all going to fall out!
Has anyone else had something similar?
Kind of reluctant to bother my Doctors again, I'm there every other week at the moment.
Would be super grateful for input.
Have a history of Perianal disease(as well as extensive intestinal disease), bit concerned in case this could be connected.
Oh, and I'm married and settled, there is NO chance this could be STI related, that I do know!

I know being at the doctor isn't fun - especially when you are a frequent flier like most of us - but the only way to truly know what it is is to go to the doctor and be as blunt about your symptoms and medical history as possible. It's always best to catch something early than to let it fester and get worse, trust me! I let an abscess fester because I was afraid of surgery and it became much worse than it had to be.

Thank you for replying. I guess I should go and see my Doctor. I just feel like all I'm doing right now is presenting with an ever increasing list of problems. I never seem to know how to pitch it all. At times I've been really worried about certain things, and they've palmed it off;other times I've not been worried and then ended up in surgery!
Currently awaiting tests results for something else, guess I could tag this on.
