'Butterfly' feeling in left-side

So, it's only been happening for the last hour or so, but it's really quite disconcerting as although I've been in a lot of pain for the last 8 months, this is a very new feeling to me, but I do not want to contact my doctors.

Has anybody else had this? The only way I can explain it is like a 'nervous' or 'butterfly' feeling, but confined to one spot. Mine is where my 'stabbing' pain usually occurs. It's not painful as such, just drops my concentration and is very uncomfortable. I'm not feeling anxious or anything, nor am I worried, so I doubt it's anything to do with moods. It was itchy at the spot for a little while also, and came up all rash-y.

I wouldn't say it is wind, because I usually get crippling stomach aches from that and it spreads all over. As a side note, I am taking Buscopan cramps (as an attempt to self-medicate with IBS medications to try and prove that IBS meds do not work to my doctor) and they have been making me extremely nauseous over the last 24 hours, but seems to have died down now.

Anybody else felt this or have any light to shed on what possibly it could be and how I can quieten it?

It was a really weird feeling - I haven't had it for a little while now. It was just uncomfortable. I'm pretty certain it wasn't a muscle spasm, but I could be wrong.
