Calmoseptine

I had never heard of Calmoseptine until finding this place. Because of you crazy people and your love for this stuff, I ordered some online (no store carries it) and had to try it out.

I gotta say.. this is some wild stuff! The cooling effect was really surprizing. I felt like I was in some really twisted York Peppermint Patty commercial for butt products.

Soooo, in short, thank you everyone for turning me on to this stuff!

I love Calmo too! I had never heard of it either before I joined the forum. I also had to order mine online, and I am so glad I did. I wish they sold it in little travel-size bottles so I could carry it in my purse too, but it only seems to come in larger sized tubes.

This stuff is great! My mom (who also has Crohn's) told me about it. I have a Kroger pharmacy in town and they order it for me. No shipping costs and it's very inexpensive. Mine comes on a jar (just a tad big for a purse), but mom's colorectal surgeon had small sample packs that are perfect, I'll see if they caan be found elsewhere.
Since finding it, I have several of my students that use it at PEG tube sites for skin irritation. Great stuff!!

My Walgreens pharmacies can order it in for me, but you have to go to the pharmacist and ask for it. They keep it behind the counter.

My pharmacy gets Calmo in individual packets which are great for the purse!

LOL..... If I recall, the York peppermint pattie tag-line used to be "get the sensation"....bahaha... it certainly beats the other possible sensation

YAY!! Calmo! I think I'm on tube # 4 or 5.
I use a thin smear almost every morning, just as a barrier in case of a leak.
I have a tube in my work backpack, but if if I am going out for the day I will put a litle squirt on some toilet paper and stick it in my purse, then I don't have to take the whole tube in my little purse.

I MUST chime in and tell all of you about EGYPTIAN MAGIC at all Health Food Stores...It's amazing...it's not white, it's like health vaseline type stuff that REALLY helps too. I guess I'm one of the few who found Calmo to be really messy and 'medicinal'.

I am going to look into the Egyptian Magic cream CMunkeez speaks of.

As for calmo it really helps smooth out the skins rough edges and relieve the irritation. I think it helps me with hemorrhoids too but I am not sure.
