I recently found out my calprotectin results from my stool sample in May were 801 however my CRP in June was only 7. They've retested my calprotectin and my bloods and I'm waiting on the results. I have some abdominal pain and occasionally have blood in my stool and I'm pretty exhausted but not feeling horrendous but that may be because I'm not back at work yet (currently on maternity leave). Has anyone had high calprotectin results and not had a full blown flare?

My son had a 586 and his only symptom was that it was hard for him to gain weight. Three months later it was at a 420 and then was 69 three months after that. So whatever caused it to go up, went away on it's own.

Are you on any meds?

Congratulations on the new baby!

Thank you she's almost 1 so I'll be back at work soon. I've just started my pentasa again today so I'm on 1g 4 times a day but if my CRP is up when they get the results they want me to take a course of prednisolone. I'm back for review in 6 weeks so they may have other plans once I see my consultant as it's the IBD nurse I've been dealing with the past month.

It's odd how it can come back down on it's own was your son on any meds at the time? I worry they've started me back unnecessarily as I'm still breastfeeding and fear I'll have to stop if she has an intolerance to the pentasa.
