Hi!
I was just wondering how many people have had success with faecal calprotectin testing rather than bloods etc when looking for inflammatory markers?
I have found on several occasions now (including today) that when my bloods are perhaps not showing much activity, a faecal calprotectin test comes charging to the rescue showing exactly what is going on, yet they never seem to do this test straight off, its almost last resort test? Maybe its reflective of cost!?
...Of course I do still feel a little embarrassed for the poor hospital nurse who has to go a get a sample from the cardboard dish in the toilet!! I'm sure we have all been there!!
