My daughter first Humira shot was on May 19 and the second is set for tommorow june 2. I was wondering if I can give it to her day earlier, she is going to sleep camp and wanted to make sure she is doing fine before she leaves. Also is it ok to give shot when little cold- coughing temperature 99?

I know that it's the weekend. But, is there a way you can contact her medical team? My concern is more about your daughter's temperature than anything. Seems like a day early would be alright with the medication, although with not being a doctor I can't tell you for sure. Good luck and please keep us updated.

Call her doc
Every Gi is different on when to receive the drug and when to hold the drug.

Humira will suppress the immune system so it will make the cough cold she has take longer to get over .

rules we were given were call with a fever 100.4 or above to hold the biologic
Also hold the biologic when starting any antibiotics
Upper respiratory with COVID that had a bad cough we were told to hold it until the cough sounded better.

how is she going to a sleep away camp if she is sick ?
Kids with autoimmune diseases tend to flare when they get sick . Since the body doesn’t have the extra energy to keep with crohns and fight a cold .

her temperature 99 f was only for one day, she was feeling fine besides coughing that was more annoying for her. on sunday it was productive cough. i gave here shot exactly on day as supposed to without problems. She felt good on Sunday and today. Fingers crossed she stays fine at camp.
