Right now, I am fifteen and though i have crohn's, i am in remisson, fit, off meds and basically crohn's free. (If only that were a thing.)
There is nothing more that i would rather do than become a nurse or doctor for the military. I already know that I cannot become a soldier myself, so I had to eliminate that option long ago. However, I really want to be an ems nurse, active and in a country base of war if possible. I know that exporting crohn's patients is not often allowed, but what i am asking is if there is any hospital bases in areas of nearby war so that i can get quick care on wounded soldiers? Since this is not actually being in a mobile hospital or even on a battlefield, I thought that maybe it could be considered more. I am looking for a job that will be very helpful and respected for serving our soldiers and country, as that is the most important thing to me. I found out about the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in germany, which is something i would definitely be interested in joining, but what kind of jobs as a nurse with crohn's could i get here? Would i ever possibly be able to get close to action and wounded soldiers, or will they at least be transported after getting wounded in war? (I do not want t simply care for retired or uninjured vets, etc.) And, what would a job here be like? I apologize very much for my lack of knowledge on this subject, but I am very interested and my parents are objectionable to me doing anything with the military, so I don' ask advice from them.
So, any information on this and even other similar possibilities that i have not mentioned but am still looking for is very much appreciated. I am open to new ideas so long as they involve serving my country, and I am not at all afraid to take risks. I am willing to go as far as i need to and beyond to accomplish my dream if possible.
Thank you, and God Bless.
