I saw my dr. yesterday and i'm a person that hates taking pills. Dx in 07 with mild colitis and havn't taken any pills yet just the enemas. He did try to give me in beginnning and i refused. Now i'm getting slightly worse symptoms and am ready to take pills. I ased dr. yesterday and he said no because of ulcer in stomach. He said lots of aspirin in pills. Could you take these 2 pills together. Still waiiting biopsy results until june 16th.

I have no idea, I really think when it comes to pharmaceuticals it is best to listen to doctors.

I will say that before I ever was diagnosed with crohn's I was having stomach problems in my late teens and early 20s, I tried Nexium alone and I have never been so sick in my life, it was horrible, I got off the nexium and I got better.

The nexium itself could be a problem I consider myself allergic to it.

Nexium is esomeprazole which reduces stomach acid. Asacol is for the colitis. Neither contain aspirin and they are fine to take together.
