Capsule endoscopy - while in remission?

Does a capsule endoscopy show anything if you're in remission?

I had symptoms March - September 2014. I currently have no firm diagnosis of anything.

I've been referred for a capsule endoscopy - will it show anything so many months after the symptoms cleared up?

There is a chance that even if symptoms have eased that there may be signs inside the intestines to be found.

If you're in deep, stable remission then it probably won't show much. But you can be in clinical remission (reduction of symptoms) and it can show active pathology.

Hi mine showed a few small areas indicating crohns & 1 ulcer but said conducive to to someone who wasn't in a flare. It's was a small bowel one. The mri didn't show anything happening so I would always recommend the capsule as the photos it takes don't lie.
