What would cause you to have pain during sex? The last few times my husband and I have been together I have had a lot of pain. I assume it has something to do with the Crohn's because usually everything in my body relates back to that:( I had endometriosis years ago but shortly after having my last child I had a partial and had my uterus removed. I just had a colonoscopy about 3 weeks ago and was told there was no inflammation and 2 weeks ago had my yearly check up with my gyno and was told he didn't see any problems. Any ideas what could cause this pain?

Endometriosis can cause a lot of adhesions. You said you had a partial and had your uterus removed, so I take it you still have a cervix. The pain could be from adhesions to the bowel related from past endometriosis, it could be related to Crohn's, and it could even be that your cervix is causing you pain. Do you still have your ovaries? If so, even without a uterus, you could still have active endometriosis.

Pelvic floor dysfunction can cause pain during sex. It can cause throbbing pain deep in the vagina and also it can be shooting pains as well. If the doctors don't find anything, maybe seeing a Physical therapist that specializes in pelvic floor dysfunction..

your best bet would be to see your Gyn to do an exam and get a possible sonogram or scan done to see if there's anything else brewing. better safe than sorry.

Hey, if you don't mind, what kind of pain are you experiencing? I have been experiencing horrible pain during intercourse, mainly at penetration it's completely put me off and lowered any interest in sex which isn't healthy for the relationship.
I have a gyn appt this week I'm going to see what she thinks but I know chances are its the crohns just feels reassuring to know I'm not the only one struggling with these embarrassing and painful problems!
