Hi everyone. It's been a long time since I've posted on here but have been researching medical marijuana for my treatment of Crohn's disease. I currently take Humira one injection every two weeks. So my question is what type of medical marijuana is the best for treating inflammatory bowel disease? Would it be strains that are high in THC or CBD? I know in the past that smoking medical marijuana has helped me tremendously while in a flareup with the nausea and cramping. From the research I have seen and read there is much more that we can get from medical marijuana then just helping with the symptoms of nausea. I would love to find a natural remedy to this disease we all suffer from.

You want both.

Try a strain with high CBD and low THC.

Then try a strain with high CBD and high THC.

They will affect you differently, but both will be helpful.

To make it a remedy though, you will need to adopt a daily regimen, which makes smoking or combustion an undesirable delivery method.

You can look into getting a vaporizer (there is a thread here where people share the models they have) or into making your own edibles or tinctures. Ingestion is by far the most desirable delivery method for cannabinoid therapy in the case of IBD.
