Certain forms of food and ileostomy blockages

Having found that I still can't tolerate much fibre with my ileostomy, I'm thinking about how to expand the variety of fruit and vegetables I can eat. I know peas are bad and sweetcorn is awful as far as blockages go. But what about the tins of mushy peas ("chip shop" peas) and tins of creamed sweetcorn you can get in supermarkets? Are they ok to eat in these forms? Does anyone do ok with them who doesn't do ok with ordinary peas and sweetcorn (including tinned peas, frozen peas, etc.)?

The hospital nutritionist recommended canned creamed corn because the corn is already split in half and less likely to cause blockages. Most any canned veg or canned fruit is on the safe list for ostomates.

Yes, canned sweetcorn and "mushy peas" are usually less problematic, but take it slow. ☺

I'll have to be taking it slow for a while anyway, I can't fill up on low calorie foods because I need to gain weight. It would be so nice to eat some more vegetables again though!
