Colloidal Silver

I've read about silver being an antibiotic for years now. I know that sliver was used in dressings for cuts during wars.

That's an interesting article. I woudn't mind being able to eat out of a silver spoon!!!!

Just be careful with colloidal silver, a man turned himself a purplish, blueish, silverish color taking too much of it over a number of years. I would definitely talk to a doctor about using it, but I too have heard it has health benefits.

Silver kills all bacteria sensitive to Silver, which can be good or bad bacteria, if I remember correctly.

Small amounts are not a problem because they are quickly taken up into the blood stream, bypassing most of the intestinal tract. Large amounts can kill beneficial stomach bacteria.

Agryria is the blue condition that you could theoretically get from taking Colloidal Silver. It would take massive amounts over a longtime to acquire blue skin, but it has been done on occasion.

I have used Colloidal Silver, but not a lot of it. I think I bought it when I had a sore throat. I don't even remember if it helped.

I use Miracle Mineral Supplement (Acidified Chlorine Dioxide) instead of Silver because it chemically reacts with acidic bacteria, killing it. Leaving the more Alkaline bacteria, which is generally the beneficial bacteria. Or so the Chemists claim.

I have used Oil of Oregano as a natural antibiotic. The silver kinda scares me.

How has Acidified Chlorine Dioxide worked for you? I had to stop flagyl because of the side effects, so I am thinking I need to keep some kind of antibiotic handy since my crohn's responds well to it.

Thanks guys. Well I was on SCd diet for 2 months, and although it helped. I lost lots of weight on it, so I've stopped it now and trying to find a natural antibiotic to take hoping it will keep things OK for me along with anormal diet (no junk, sugar etc... of course).

I tried to find colloidal silver, Miracle Mineral , and oil or oregano in my country but to no avail. What I found was Manuka Honey UMF 10+ which is supposed to also be a natural antibiotic. I started taking it yesterday. I'll update you if it helps.

Never heard of the honey and as Dan said it takes a lot of silver over a long time to turn blue, just wanted to mention it so you can talk to your doctor if you consider that path. Easily avoided with a bit of information :).
